Mark Perlberg of Oasis Outsourcing is New Chairman of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations
Alexandria, VA Sep 10, 2013/PRNewswire-USNewswire/ – The National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) today announced that Mark Perlberg, president and CEO of Oasis Outsourcing in West Palm Beach, FL, was elected chairman of the board of directors at the association’s annual meeting in San Antonio. He succeeds Dale Hageman, president of Oklahoma City-based Accord Human Resources.
“At a time when small businesses are looking for help with confusing healthcare changes and other administrative burdens, the professional employer organization (PEO) industry is perfectly positioned to fill that role and generate real growth,” said NAPEO president and CEO Pat Cleary. “Mark Perlberg is the exact right person to lead us as we aim to seize this opportunity and grow our industry.”
Perlberg has been the president and CEO of Oasis Outsourcing since October 2003. During Perlberg’s leadership, Oasis Outsourcing has grown by more than 100,000 worksite employees into one of the largest, most successful companies in the industry. Perlberg has been an active member of NAPEO since joining the PEO industry. This past year, he served as vice chairman of the board and chairman of the association’s Healthcare Task Force.
“As chairman, I look forward to working with industry leaders to support the critical role that PEOs can play in addressing the increasingly complex needs of small- and medium-sized businesses,” said Perlberg.
After beginning his career as a business litigation attorney, Perlberg co-founded a utility bill payment processing business, eventually negotiating its sale to Western Union, where he spent six years in management. Perlberg later spent four years as an officer of the John Harland Company, and was the chief operating officer of PRG-Schultz, the world’s leading recovery audit firm, prior to joining Oasis. Perlberg is a magna cum laude graduate of both the University of Rochester and Boston College Law School. He will serve a one-year term as chairman of NAPEO.
