HealthTronics Proud Sponsor of Health Tech Austin’s Medical Device Summit

HealthTronics was a proud sponsor of today’s Health Tech Austin’s Medical Device Summit in Austin.
The Medical Device Summit provided an opportunity for attendees to see the latest technologies, listen to thought leaders and experts in the medical device field, and participate in a forum where innovative companies share their technologies with investors and potential commercial partners.
The Summit featured a keynote by Scott Wallace, Managing Director of the Value Institute for Health and Care at Dell Medical School, on “How Medical Devices Impact the Delivery of Value Based Health Care.”
Our very own, Russell Newman participated in a panel discussion entitled, “Enhancing Value Through the Strategic Use of IP.” Russell provided helpful insight about the role of IP in late stage companies.
The summit also included The Medical Device Showcase, where 12 Companies made pitches ranging from minimally invasive devices to digital hardware. Director of Marketing and Communications, John Eberts, presented the awards to those who participated in the pitches. First place went to UnaliWear’s Jean Anne Booth. UnaliWear created the Kanega watch – the first all-in-one, voice-controlled device designed to keep seniors independent, active and safe.
It was an exciting two days of innovative technologies and ideas flowing in one summit and HealthTronics was excited to be a part of it.
